I Dream of Jeannie (Baré)

Just posted my completed Oh Jeannie up to the folder. So far, opinion is split - my 6 year old says it's horrible, my 4 year old likes it and my wife was too busy watching Come Dine With Me. Anyway, had great fun doing it with the legendary Don Schwartz at the controls. Thanks Don for popping in with that glockenspiel and bringing the chorus back to life!

just had a listen........BRILLIANT! Absolutely love it. Fits so well the backing track. And that part about swirling waves and crashing is incredible.
Great work.

I was close to getting watery eyes when I listened to it. Incredible. I love the layering, very respectful to the original ethos of the track.

Lovely harmonies, nice to hear these from Deano. What with this track and Waldrich's 18 part vox this is shaping up to me a very laaaa de daaaa album.

Now I've got to nip off and listen to it another 15 times.

Great work deano. Kids? What do they know. When I was that age my favourite songs were, "My Old Man's A Dustman" and "Shuddupyaface". Can't trust their musical opinions as far as you can throw them.

woah there! One of the kids said he loved it. Thats a fine opinion. Most trustworthy.
Anyway, Im an adult, and as such my opinion counts heaps and i love it. Those harmonies blow my mind everytime. Ive listened to it at least 5 times already and plenty more to come. In a way I wish I hadnt listened to it before i recorded my vocals as I am now feeling intimidated. might even sing mine like a dolphin and just click and chirp my way through.

It's brilliant Greg, and better still it's inspired Barney to get some more harmonies on his track which means I get to do my Linda Macartney role - no not cooking veggie sausages but squeak out some weak backing vocals that can be nicely lost in the mix! Hurrah!

Awesome! I've been listening all weekend. I absolutely love the harmonica + vocal combo. I'll be stealing that soon.

It definitely shares more than a few qualities with mine...especially the harmonies. Although, I really only use huge harmonies to cover up my shaky voice, which is clearly not a problem for you.
